Background

Saighton Camp is a redundant Ministry of Defence military training facility on the south-eastern edge of Chester, adjacent to the A55.

Since closing in 1999 the site had fallen into a state of disrepair until the site's purchase in 2005. CEG is now leading the regeneration of this site.

Considerable redevelopment potential

CEG is aware of the considerable redevelopment potential of the site, and the benefits it could bring to the local area. As a result of this CEG is keen to work closely with the local community, the parish, city and county councils, and new unitary authority on a plan that will see the site brought back into beneficial use.

It's hoped that as a result of this inclusive approach the site will not only meet the city's needs, but also come to be embraced and valued by current and future residents of the area.
