A 120 acre former MoD training facility

Saighton Camp is a 120 acre redundant, former Ministry of Defence military training facility. Detailed planning permission was granted for the development of up to103 new homes on a small area of the site closest to the A55 in 2005.

In April 2010 the Secretary of State issued planning consent for a residential-led mixed-used redevelopment on approximately half of the Saighton Camp site.

The remainder of the site

No plans have currently been agreed for the remaining 40 or so acres at the rear of the site. Commercial Estates Group (CEG), the company behind the project, is working with local residents and the Council to define its future development potential.
