Of the entire Saighton Camp site there are still 100 acres remaining which is currently not earmarked for development in the Local Plan.

High priority land for redevelopment

However, it is a major area of previously developed land, which in national planning terms has the highest priority for redevelopment.

As a result, when looking to the long-term future of Chester this area will be considered within the Council's emerging Local Development Framework. This in turn will replace the Local Plan and create a framework for planning within the Chester area.

Addressing concerns

There are a number of areas of concerns that we are currently addressing.

However, before future planning and investment can begin on the remainder of the site there are a number of issues to be resolved, which CEG is currently addressing.
